▼「ムーヴィング・マウンテン」（2019/9/12 UP)
Moving Mountains is one of my favourite tracks on the album because it has an immensely personal meaning to me. The original song is by singer/songwriter Skylar Grey, and I discovered it on a playlist, at a time when my whole world was collapsing. To this day, whenever I hear it, I feel very emotional. When I heard the original version of Calandrelli's 'Solitude' I thought it would make a fantastic duo piece for guitar and a soloist, so I asked my dear friend Jess Gillam to record it with me. My recording of 'Over The Rainbow' is an arrangement by Tōru Takemitsu (with a few cheeky edits of my own). Takemitsu also arranged 'Yesterday' by The Beatles which I played on my previous album 'Blackbird'. When I was listening to music, whether it was pop, rock, classical, at the time when I wasn't able to play myself, the music around me became much more intense. It was somehow able to get much deeper inside me. This experience inspired me to open up as a musician and explore a different world without fear.
