STATEMENT

Paint is relieved from the fact that it is paint, to take on a mysterious face like a confectionery created by the hands of a pâtissier, captivating with its complex and gleaming landform. That’s the kind of painting I want to create.

ABOUT MUSIC AND ART

Back before I was interested in art, the radio, Rockin’on, and iPod were always by my side. From the first shock I had from hearing the Sex Pistols I fell in love with western music, listening only to it. I was an especially big fan of Nirvana. I started a band playing covers of Green Day, and I really wanted to go to a university no one else around me was applying to. That’s when I decided to go to art school. In recent years I’ve had no shortage of troubles in my art and in my personal life, but listening over and over again to The Anymal and going to a live show by Suchmos, I gradually cheered up. I want to be the kind of person who always follows her heart. Even still when it comes down to it music reminds of something very important in my life. And … it pushes me on.
