コンポーザーであり、世界最高峰のトランぺッターのアンブローズ・アキンムシーレがブルーノートから5枚目となるアルバム“On the tender spot of every calloused moment”をリリースしました。
アキンムシーレは2018年にリリースした前作“Origami Harvest”がThe New York Times、Los Angeles Times、NPR Music、GQ、DownBeatなどでベスト・オブ・2018に選ばれており、現代ジャズ・シーンで最も注目されているトランぺッターの一人。今回のアルバムは彼と長年活動を共にしているピアニストのSam Harris、ベーシストのHarish Raghavan、そしてドラマーのJustin Brownがバンド・メンバーとして参加しています。

今回のアルバムは、アメリカという国に住む黒人の生活の複雑さを表現した一作ですが、憂鬱や悲しみに焦点を当てるのではなく、生活の全てを解き明かすことに重点が置かれた49分間のアート作品に仕上がっています。
