大森元貴 (Vo/Gt)、若井滉斗 (Gt)、藤澤涼架 (Key)による3人組バンド。

2013年結成。2015年EMI Recordsからミニアルバム『Variety』でメジャーデビュー。

以来、毎年1枚のオリジナルアルバムリリースと着実なライブ活動を続け、2019年12月から行われた初の全国アリーナツアー『エデンの園』は東名阪公演を即日ソールドアウト。

メジャーデビュー5周年となる2020年7月8日に初のベストアルバム『5』をリリースし、オリコン週間合算アルバムランキング、Billboard 総合アルバム・チャートにて1位を獲得。同時に“フェーズ1完結”を宣言し、突如活動休止を発表。

約1年8ヶ月の活動休止期間を経て現在のメンバー編成となり、2022年3月に“フェーズ2開幕”とし活動を再開。同年7月8日にミニアルバム『Unity』をリリースするとともに、一夜限りの復活ライブ『Utopia』を開催、また、映画「ONE PIECE FILM RED」に劇中歌「私は最強」を提供、11月9日に映画「ラーゲリより愛を込めて」の主題歌「Soranji」をリリースした。「第64回日本レコード大賞」において「ダンスホール」で優秀作品賞を受賞した。

バンド結成10周年を迎えた2023年は、『Attitude』以来4年ぶり5枚目のオリジナルフルアルバム『ANTENNA』を7月5日(水）にリリース、7月8日(土)9日(日)にさいたまスーパーアリーナ、7月15日(土)16日(日)に大阪城ホール、8月3日(木)4日(金)にＡichi Sky Expoにて自身最大規模のアリーナツアー『Mrs. GREEN APPLE ARENA TOUR 2023 “NOAH no HAKOBUNE”』、さらに8月12日(土)13日(日)には初のドームライブ『Mrs. GREEN APPLE DOME LIVE 2023 “Atlantis”』を埼玉・ベルーナドーム（西武ドーム）で開催した。「第65回日本レコード大賞」において「ケセラセラ」で「レコード大賞」を受賞、「第74回NHK 紅白歌合戦」への初出場を「ダンスホール」で果たした。

2024年1月17日に映画『サイレントラブ』主題歌「ナハトムジーク」をリリース、さらにTVアニメ『忘却バッテリー』オープニング・テーマ「ライラック」、映画『ディア・ファミリー』主題歌「Dear」、「コロンブス」、テレビ朝日系列　2024スポーツ応援ソング「アポロドロス」、Honda新型FREED CMソング「familie」と、4月から8月にかけて5ヶ月連続でシングルをリリースした。また、7月6日(土)、７日(日)にノエビアスタジアム神戸、7月20日(土)、21日(日)に横浜スタジアムで、日本のバンド史上最年少でのスタジアムツアー『ゼンジン未到とヴェルトラウム～銘銘編～』を開催した。2023年12月から2024年3月にかけて行ったツアー『The White Lounge』を映画化し9月に『The White Lounge in CINEMA』として全国公開すると、興行収入18.9億円を突破、24年度公開の音楽ライブを題材とした映画No.1となる大ヒットを記録。10月には世界最大級のアリーナ・Kアリーナ横浜にて10日間に及ぶ“定期公演”『Mrs. GREEN APPLE on “Harmony”』を開催した。また、「第66回日本レコード大賞」において史上初となるバンドで2年連続の「レコード大賞」受賞を果たし、「青と夏〜ライラック 紅白SP」で「第75回NHK 紅白歌合戦」に2年連続で出場した。

デビュー10周年を迎える2025年は、“MGA MAGICAL 10 YEARS”と称して、7月8日(火)にベストアルバム『10』のリリース、7月26日(土)、27日(日)に神奈川県横浜市・山下ふ頭で2日間で10万⼈動員予定のライブ、また全国の商業施設とコラボレーション、全国での展覧会開催、2月15日(土)、16日(日)に韓国での初単独公演、さらに初のドキュメンタリー映画を製作することなど、さまざまなプロジェクトを発表している。

Formed in 2013, Mrs. GREEN APPLE made its major-label debut in 2015 with the mini-album “Variety” from EMI Records. Since then, the band has released one studio album every year and continued steady live performances, and their first nationwide arena tour “Eden no Sono”, held from December 2019 was instantly sold out in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka (80,000 total audiences). In July 2020, on the day of their 5th anniversary of their major-label debut, they released their first best-of album “5”, which ranked No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly combined chart and the Billboard Album Chart. At the same time, the band declared the “completion of Phase 1” and suddenly announced a hiatus.

After a hiatus of about 1 year and 8 months, the group resumed its activities as “opening of Phase 2” with the current members in March 2022. In July of the same year, they released the mini-album “Unity” and held a one-night-only revival live concert “Utopia”. “Dance Hall,” which is included in the mini-album, became the fastest song in the band’s history to surpass 400 million streams. They also provided the song “I’m Invincible” for the movie “ONE PIECE FILM RED”, wrote the theme song “Soranji” for the movie “From Siberia With Love”, and received “Excellent Work Award” at the “64th Japan Record Awards” for “Dance Hall”.

In 2023, the band’s 10th anniversary year, they released their fifth full-length studio album “ANTENNA” in July, their first album in four years since “Attitude”, and held their largest arena tour “Mrs. GREEN APPLE ARENA TOUR 2023 “NOAH no HAKOBUNE”” in Tokyo, Osaka, and Aichi. In August, they held their first dome concert “Mrs. GREEN APPLE DOME LIVE 2023 “Atlantis””. In addition, they won the Grand Prix at the “65th Japan Record Awards” with “Que Sera Sera ” and made their first appearance on the “74th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen” with “Dance Hall”.

With 15 songs including “Magic”, “Que Sera Sera”, “Soranji”, “I’m Invincible”, “Dance Hall”, “Blue Ambience (feat. asmi)”, “Ao To Natsu”, “Tenbyouno Uta (feat. Sonoko Inoue)”, “Inferno”, “Bokuno Koto”, “Romanticism”, “CHEERS”, “WanteD! WanteD!”, “Shunshu”, and “StaRt” surpassing 100 million streams on major streaming platforms (500M for “Ao To Natsu” and “Tenbyouno Uta (feat. Sonoko Inoue)”, 400M for “Inferno” and “Dance Hall”, and 300M for “Bokuno Koto”), the total number of streams exceeds 6 billion (as of Dec. 31, 2023).
